Aviation Maintenance
SSCC offers a two-year, eight-quarter program leading to a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) airframe and powerplant (A&P) mechanics certificate.
Course work includes:
- basic science for aviation
- electricity
- airframe structures and systems
- powerplant (piston and turbine engines) theory, overhaul and systems
Additional coursework may be completed for an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Aeronautical Technology. A counseling interview is recommended before acceptance into the Airframe and Powerplant Program.
